Coconut Grove

Coconut Grove sits south of Brickell along the bay and is the oldest continuously inhabited neighborhood in the City of Miami, predating the city’s 1896 incorporation. Its defining physical characteristic is tree canopy: mature banyans and oaks over narrow, often sidewalk-free streets.

The commercial village at Grand Avenue and Main Highway is walkable and low-rise. Two marinas, Dinner Key and Monty’s, sit on the bay, along with Peacock Park and the Barnacle Historic State Park.

Housing is mostly single-family, ranging from early frame houses to contemporary construction, with a limited supply of low- and mid-rise condominium buildings near the village and the water.
